As a Junior Biologist (Biologist-In-Training), you'll work alongside experienced environmental professionals, engineers, planners, and project managers to support a wide range of environmental and regulatory projects.This is an excellent prospect for an early-career professional based in Calgary looking to build field experience, develop technical skills, and grow within a supportive, multidisciplinary team, with an anticipated start date of May 2027 or following graduation.

What You’ll Do

- Support environmental assessments, regulatory applications, and environmental planning projects.
- Participate in field programs, including wildlife, vegetation, fisheries, wetlands, and habitat assessments.
- Assist with environmental monitoring and data collection activities.
- Conduct field surveys and record environmental observations accurately and efficiently.
- Compile, organize, and analyze environmental data.
- Support the preparation of technical reports, environmental assessments, and permit applications.
- Assist with developing field methodologies, sampling plans, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical specialists to deliver high-quality projects on schedule.
- Contribute to environmental stewardship and sustainable project outcomes across a variety of sectors.

What You’ll Bring

- Bachelors degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline.
- Experience relevant to environmental consulting, field biology, or environmental science from internships.




- Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel and participate in field programs throughout Alberta and Western Canada.
- Located in Calgary, or a commutable distance.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and ability to travel and work on site.

What Can We Offer You?

- The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum.
