Position Summary The Junior Installer assists the Installation Team with the delivery and installation of stone countertops while learning the skills necessary to become a fully qualified Installer. This role requires a positive attitude, physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Junior Installers work closely with experienced Installation Leads to develop installation knowledge and uphold Sloan Stone Design's quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Installation Assistance

- Assist with loading company vehicles.
- Deliver countertops and materials to job sites.
- Assist in the installation of quartz, granite, porcelain, and other stone products.
- Help install sinks, supports, accessories, and related components.
- Assist with seam finishing and final detailing.
- Perform cleanup after installation.

Job Site Protection

- Install floor protection before beginning work.
- Protect cabinetry and surrounding finishes.
- Install protective countertop covering upon completion unless otherwise instructed.
- Leave each job site clean and ready for customer use.

Material Handling

- Safely move stone products using proper lifting techniques.
- Operate material handling equipment when trained.
- Assist with slab handling.
- Report damaged materials immediately.

Equipment Responsibilities

- Maintain installation tools.
- Keep company vehicles clean and organized.
- Participate in daily vehicle inspections.
- Assist with inventory of installation supplies.

Documentation

- Upload required job photos.
- Verify cleaning kit placement beside kitchen sink.
- Confirm drain components have been delivered.
- Complete installation checklists.
- Assist with customer documentation.

Customer Service

- Maintain a qualified appearance.
- Represent Sloan Stone Design positively.
- Communicate respectfully with homeowners, builders, contractors, and designers.
- Respect customer property and privacy.

Safety Responsibilities

- Follow all company safety policies.
- Wear required PPE.




- Participate in safety meetings and training.
- Report accidents, injuries, or hazards immediately.

Qualifications

Preferred

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G Driver's License with clean driving record.
- Construction or renovation experience is an asset.
- Stone installation experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to safely lift heavy materials with assistance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
