Junior Marketing & Content Coordinator
Location: Vancouver, BC | Full-time | On-site
Salary: $40,000–$55,000 per year
About InFocus Film School
InFocus Film School is an independent film school located in the heart of Vancouver, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of filmmakers, storytellers, and creative professionals. Through hands-on, project-based education, we equip students with the practical skills and portfolios needed to launch careers in film and media.
We are looking for a creative and motivated Junior Marketing & Content Coordinator to join our team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on creative position for someone who enjoys designing marketing materials, producing engaging visual content, and capturing stories through photography and video.
You will serve as the on-campus marketing representative at our Vancouver campus, creating promotional materials, capturing live event content, and collaborating with our central marketing team in Calgary.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong graphic design skills, experience creating Facebook/Meta ad graphics, and the ability to capture high-quality photographs and produce engaging short-form videos.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Marketing Materials
- Design Facebook/Meta ad graphics and promotional materials for digital advertising campaigns.
- Create flyers, posters, social media graphics, presentations, and other marketing assets.
- Maintain consistent branding across all marketing materials.
Photography & Video Production
- Capture high-quality photographs and videos at campus events, open houses, student showcases, and other school activities.
- Produce and edit short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
- Create visual content that highlights student experiences, campus activities, and school programs.
Social Media & Marketing Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and publish social media content.
- Support the promotion of events,
open houses, and student showcases.
- Collaborate with the central marketing team in Calgary on campaigns, creative direction, and content priorities.
- Assist with website updates, content performance tracking, and basic reporting.
- Use AI tools where appropriate to support content creation and workflow efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, content creation, social media, or graphic design. Relevant internships, freelance work, and portfolio-based experience will be considered.
- At least 1 year of graphic design experience.
- At least 1 year of content creation experience.
- At least 1 year of experience creating or editing short-form videos.
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Express, or similar design tools.
- Experience designing digital advertising graphics and promotional materials.
- Ability to capture high-quality photographs and videos at live events.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital marketing principles, including Meta/Facebook advertising.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate with a remote marketing team.
Portfolio Required — Please Read Before Applying A portfolio is mandatory for this position. Applicants must submit a portfolio or website link showcasing relevant creative work, particularly:
- Graphic design, including digital advertisements and promotional materials.
- Photography, preferably including event photography.
- Video production and editing, particularly short-form or social media content.
Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
Nice to Have
- Diploma or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Digital Media.
- Experience creating paid or organic social media advertisements.
- Event photography and videography experience.
- Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar creative tools.
- Interest in film, media, education, or the creative industries.
