Injury Prevention Plus is seeking an Ergonomic Consultant with at a minimum of 0-3 years of experience with doing ergonomic assessments in the following professions: physiotherapist, kinesiologist and/or CCPE.

Job Title: Ergonomic Consultant in Ottawa

Job purpose: To provide professional ergonomic assessments while using and teaching proper ergonomic techniques and providing recommendations.

Description: This position is ideal for those who are responsible, organized and enjoy working independently. We are looking for someone in the Ottawa area to provide office ergonomic assessments. These assessments will be done on site at various locations throughout the city and occasionally virtually.

Ideally we would like 1-3 years of experience in the ergonomic field. Potential candidates must be interested in the dynamic world of consulting and must have a degree in Physiotherapy, Kinesiology/Human Kinetics, occupational therapy (must be member in good standing with their respective college), or be a Certified Canadian Professional Ergonomist (CCPE)

In this position, the selected candidate will work with existing clients on their health & safety needs, while providing ergonomic office assessments. There may be opportunities to complete Job Demands Analysis and Ergonomic Risk assessments on an as needed basis.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience

- Ability to work independently to conduct ergonomic evaluations in office, and industrial environments
- Ability to work with clients and employees directly in a professional manner.




- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both official languages
- Dependable, responsible, punctual and organized.
- Ability to analyze, problem solve and provide recommendations.
- Able to send out reports in a timely manor (within 5 business days)
- Knowledge of ergonomic regulations and standards.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Must have a mobile phone, computer, Microsoft suite and access to a vehicle.
- Have federal security clearance, or able to get security clearance.
