Transform lives at House of Friendship as a Kitchen Cook in our ShelterCare program. Your cooking skills will help nourish those experiencing homelessness. As part of our dedicated ShelterCare Kitchen team, you will focus on meal preparation and assist in the organization of food donations.

This full time position comes with a flexible schedule and the chance to engage with program participants, fostering a collaborative culinary environment. You’re expected to maintain cleanliness and work under varying conditions. Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks from donated food
- Organize and distribute food donations consistently
- Ensure cleanliness in kitchen and storage sections
- Operate kitchen appliances and cleaning tools safely
- Mentor participants and volunteers in culinary tasks Requirements:
- High school diploma (Grade 12) is required
- Certification in Food Handling is a must
- Kitchen experience, particularly in industrial settings
- Background in volunteer coordination is preferred
