Balcony Grill is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team.

This position supports daily food preparation and kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, able to follow instructions, and willing to learn different kitchen tasks.

Starting pay depends on experience and ability, with opportunities for wage increases based on performance.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients for daily service, including washing, cutting, portioning, and organizing food items
- Assist with basic prep work and ingredient setup for different kitchen stations
- Portion and arrange ingredients according to restaurant standards
- Help prepare skewers and other items as required
- Restock ingredients and supplies during service
- Support cooks and kitchen staff during busy periods
- Maintain clean and organized prep areas, workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow proper food storage, sanitation, and food safety procedures
- Assist with dishwashing, garbage, and general kitchen cleaning when needed




- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time

Qualifications

- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred
- Basic food preparation or knife skills are an asset
- Able to follow instructions and work independently after training
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical work
- Available for evening and weekend shifts
- Willing to learn and take on additional kitchen responsibilities
