We are looking for reliable, hardworking Kitchen Prep Assistants to join a busy commercial kitchen.

This is a hands-on position supporting daily food preparation and kitchen operations. This position is suitable for someone who enjoys kitchen work, follows instructions carefully, and is interested in developing additional food-production and cooking skills over time.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients according to established instructions and measurements
- Wash, peel, cut and prepare ingredients for production
- Portion and organize ingredients for daily cooking
- Prepare proteins and other food items for production
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately
- Assist with general kitchen production
- Portion, package and label prepared food
- Maintain organized refrigerators, freezers and preparation areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces and equipment
- Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
- Receive, organize and rotate ingredients and supplies




- Complete other kitchen-support duties as required

- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Able to lift and move typical kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen

Previous kitchen experience is an asset but not required Food Handler Certification is an asset

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour

- French not required
