Overview

Bis Laboratories is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory and a Health Canada licensed drug testing laboratory providing analytical testing services for natural health products, supplements, and related products.

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician – Microbiology to join our laboratory team. The primary responsibility of this position will be to perform microbiological testing in accordance with USP <2021>, USP <2022>, approved laboratory SOPs, and applicable quality requirements.

Responsibilities

- Perform microbiological testing in accordance with USP <2021>, USP <2022>, GMP requirements, and laboratory SOPs.
- Perform TAMC, TYMC, and specified microorganism testing.
- Prepare culture media, reagents, and samples for microbiological analysis.
- Perform aseptic techniques, incubation, enumeration, and result interpretation.
- Complete laboratory worksheets and records accurately in accordance with GMP, ISO/IEC 17025, and data integrity requirements.
- Maintain microbiology equipment and a clean laboratory environment.
- Report abnormal results, deviations,



and potential OOS results to the supervisor.

Requirements

- Prior laboratory experience or coursework in a scientific discipline such as biology, chemistry, or related fields.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and identify anomalies or inconsistencies.
- Proficiency in mathematical calculations relevant to laboratory testing and data analysis.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures to uphold standards of precision and reliability.
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully while maintaining flexibility for evolving project needs.
- Valuable communication skills for documenting findings clearly and collaborating effectively with team members.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
