Landscape Technician

Full-Time — $21.50–$24.75/hour

Landscape Construction & Snow Removal

We are looking for a Landscape Technician for hands-on landscape construction during the warmer months and snow removal during the winter.

All experience levels are welcome — from beginners willing to learn to experienced technicians who can work independently and operate equipment.

Landscape Construction

Depending on your experience and skill level, duties may include:

- General landscape construction and hardscaping
- Excavation, backfilling and grading
- Digging and finish grading by hand
- Preparing bases for pavers, retaining walls and other structures
- Working with dirt, clay, screened loam and road crush
- Installing edging, landscape fabric, mulch and decorative rock
- Assisting with paver and retaining wall installation
- Loading, unloading and moving materials
- Using power tools and construction equipment
- Operating a Bobcat/skid steer for excavation, grading, backfilling and loading
- Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas
- Basic equipment maintenance such as greasing machines and checking fluids

Snow Removal During winter, duties may include:

- Snow removal from sidewalks, driveways and other areas
- Shovelling and operating Gravely sweepers
- Operating a truck-mounted plow and/or sander
- Operating a Bobcat/skid steer
- Working safely around buildings, vehicles and equipment
- Working extended hours during significant snow events

Who We Are Looking For (a) Beginner / Entry Level

No qualified landscaping experience is required if you are:

- Reliable and consistently show up to work
- Willing to learn
- Physically capable of outdoor construction work
- Willing to perform general labour




- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions

(b) Experienced Candidates Experience with any of the following is an advantage:

- Landscape construction or hardscaping
- Excavation and grading
- Bobcat S70 or 463 operation
- Understanding levels, grades, slopes and elevations
- Paver or retaining wall installation
- Power tools and accurate measuring/cutting
- Working independently with minimal supervision
- Truck and trailer operation

A clean driver's abstract and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles are an advantage.

ScheduleLandscape Construction Season

- Approximately 40 hours/week
- Start times as early as 7:00 a.m.
- Work may extend to 7:00 p.m. when required
- Typically a 6-day work week
- Weekend work may be required
- Weekdays may be used as days off depending on workload
- 10–12 hour days may be required during busy periods
- Schedule may change due to weather and project requirements
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites is required
- Steel-toe boots and work gloves required

Snow Removal Season Snow removal is weather-dependent and requires significant flexibility.

You must be available for:

- Early-morning, evening and overnight work
- Weekends and holidays
- On-call periods during expected snowfall




- Short-notice schedule changes
- Extended shifts during significant snow events
