Job Function Overview- Laser Operator

· Help set up and operate a CNC fiber laser

· Work with customer timelines to make sure schedule is adhered to

· Perform preventative maintenance of the equipment, maintaining equipment and tools in excellent operating condition

· Follow drawings ensuring that product is to specifications

· Address machine malfunctions in an efficient and expedited manner

· Plan the sequences of operation to achieve optimal precision and tolerances





· Perform quality inspections of final product

· Prepare finished products for delivery or to be sent to other departments

· Keep a clean and safe working environment

· Material handling of the laser table

· Other duties as assigned

Skills:

· 1-3 years CNC experience

· Able to read blueprint drawings

· Detail oriented and organized individual

· Knowledge of metric, imperial and measuring tools

· Robust computer skills. Familiarity with Solidworks is an asset.

· Operation of jib cranes and forklifts

· Ability to nest/program the laser to maximise sheet utilisation.

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Hours per week: Monday to Friday, 40 hours

Benefits: Yes, after completion of 90 days probationary period

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
