About the Chance

AfterQuery is seeking experienced Legal JD Experts to create and refine legal reasoning challenges for advanced AI training and evaluation modules. In this remote and flexible role, selected attorneys will design and evaluate legal scenarios that test AI systems on their ability to interpret, analyze, and apply complex legal principles.

The work focuses on translating rigorous legal knowledge and real-world legal reasoning into high-quality assessment content. Your expertise will help evaluate whether AI models can navigate complex legal issues with precision, logical consistency, and appropriate legal nuance.

Responsibilities

- Develop high-quality legal questions, scenarios, and case studies that challenge AI models across areas such as contract law, constitutional law, intellectual property, and other legal disciplines.
- Create legal reasoning challenges that assess the AI's ability to interpret and apply relevant legal principles.
- Evaluate and validate AI-generated responses for legal accuracy, logical consistency, and appropriate application of legal principles.
- Provide detailed, constructive feedback to improve model responses and reasoning quality.
- Identify inaccuracies, gaps in reasoning, unsupported conclusions, and misapplications of legal principles.
- Collaborate with legal and technical experts to refine question difficulty and assessment quality.
- Help ensure legal content is both challenging and educational.
- Apply practical legal judgment and research expertise when evaluating AI-generated legal content.

Required Qualifications

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven experience in legal practice, legal research, or legal academia.
- Strong understanding of multiple areas of law and legal reasoning principles.
- Exceptional analytical, written,



and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle legal and logical issues.
- Ability to independently evaluate complex legal scenarios and explain reasoning clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

- Multiple years of professional legal practice or substantial legal research experience.
- Experience working across diverse areas of law.
- Background in legal publications, policy work, or legal technology initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI-driven legal applications, legal technology, or AI evaluation.
- Experience developing educational, assessment, research, or professional legal content.
