Our bays are full and our team is growing! New Way Automotive in North Burnaby is expanding. We're looking for an experienced Licensed Automotive Technician to join our established automotive repair shop.

We're looking for someone who knows their way around a vehicle and is comfortable taking a job from diagnosis, through repair, to verification and road test.

You should be able to look at a problem, use your experience and diagnostic skills to figure out what's actually causing it, and then get the repair done properly.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles.

That includes

- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and drivability concerns
- Finding the root cause of problems
- Performing repairs and maintenance to a high standard
- Using scan tools, diagnostic equipment and service information
- Performing thorough digital vehicle inspections
- Identifying additional repairs when required
- Accurately documenting work performed
- Keeping your work area clean and organized
- Working safely and following shop procedures

What we're looking for

- Licensed Automotive Technician - Red Seal Required
- Several years of hands-on automotive repair experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to take a job from diagnosis → repair → verification → road test
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge




- Comfortable using modern diagnostic equipment
- Own tools appropriate for the position
- Valid driver's licence
- Pride in your workmanship
- Skilled attitude and good communication skills

What you can expect from us

- $40–$48/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- No evenings and no weekends
- Closed all long weekends and over the Christmas holiday period
