Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Coordinator, Lift and Turf Operations, the Lift Lead provides operational leadership across the Lift Operations team throughout all Glen Eden operating periods. The Lift Lead oversees daily lift assignments, rotations, and operational needs at the Chairlifts and Carpets, while providing direction and support to Lift Attendants and Senior Lift Attendants. The primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Ensure that the approved operating procedures are followed in accordance with the Lift Operations manual and passenger ropeways regulations
- Complete and oversee daily lift logs, training logs, incident reports, and safety reports promptly and accurately
- Support the delivery of Lift Operations training and provide day-to-day coaching and operational guidance to Lift Operations staff throughout the season
- Determine daily staff assignments across chairlifts and carpets based on operational needs, staffing levels, and employee availability.
- Provide direction, support, and guidance to Senior Lift Attendants and Lift Attendants, ensuring operational, safety, and customer service expectations are consistently met.
- Oversee ticket and pass validity prior to guests reaching the lifts, including using the Park Pass account to manage and troubleshoot guest passes as required.
- Monitor staff rotations and station coverage across all chairlifts and carpets, making adjustments to staff assignments and break coverage as operational needs require.
- Maintain loading and unloading ramps, signage and corrals toapproved standards
- Actively participate in snow maintenance and general area maintenance, ensuring it is complete for all components of the lifts and surrounding areas (explicit of snow, ice, garbage, etc.)
- Be trained on and operate company vehicles to transport lift staff and equipment between lifts and other designated locations, as required.
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.

Your Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal skills. Professional, energetic, and reliable.




- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Customer service mindset, with a commitment to safety of both staff and guests
- 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience, with demonstrated ability to provide direction and support staff in a fast paced environment
- 1-2 years of customer service experience, with demonstrated ability to handle customer concerns and difficult situations professionally and effectively
- Previous skiing and/or snowboarding experience is an asset.
- 1–3 years of relevant lift operations experience, with working knowledge of lift operation standards, z98 Code, TSSA requirements and regulations, safety policies, and emergency procedures.Ability to work in and adapt to the daily challenges associated with a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle difficult situations while remaining calm under pressure
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, on varied terrain.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- A valid Ontario Drivers Licence, minimum Class “G”, with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required. *Abstract completed by Conservation Halton.
- Successful candidates must complete Bullwheel Training and Lift Evacuation Training prior to first day of employment *Training provided by Conservation Halton
- Successful candidates must provide their own black snow pants (no patterns), winter gloves/mitts, and winter boots *Uniform jacket and hat will be provided (Jacket to be returned end of season)
- CH parks are not accessible by public transit; candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Part time and full-time hours available; hours may vary depending on availability
- Working hours will vary (daytime and evening shifts) and will include weekends and holidays.
