PART-TIME LINE COOK / DISHWASHER

Rustic Cosmo Cafe – Parkdale, Toronto

Rustic Cosmo Cafe is looking for an experienced, reliable Line Cook / Dishwasher to join our kitchen team.

We’re a busy neighbourhood brunch cafe and are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their work, and can jump in wherever needed.

Position Details

- Part-time: 12–15 hours per week ( Room to grow )
- Weekend availability is required
- Daytime/brunch shifts
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team or independently

Requirements

- Previous brunch/breakfast line cook experience is required
- Valid Food Handler Certificate
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace
- Able to manage multiple orders efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable with dishwashing, cleaning, prep, and general kitchen duties
- Able to keep a clean, organized and food-safe workstation

Responsibilities





- Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch menu items
- Work the line efficiently during busy service
- Assist with food prep and restocking
- Wash dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work cooperatively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys brunch service, works well under pressure, and isn’t afraid to jump from the line to dishes or prep when needed.
