LINE COOK -- $20.00 PER HOUR YEAR-ROUND NO LATE NIGHTS The Wellings of Picton is a vibrant community for independent adults who are 55+. Our hospitality team plays a central role by delivering exceptional dining experiences that promote connection, enjoyment, and wellbeing.

Our kitchen supports daily dinner service alongside a variety of special events, themed dinners, and catering-style functions throughout the year. Food is at the heart of our community, and we take pride in offering meals that are both high-quality and engaging.

We are looking for a reliable and positive Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. We offer versatile scheduling, with permanent part-time opportunities available for two to three days per week and full time opportunities for four to five days per week. Whether you are new to the culinary field, an experienced professional seeking a career change, or someone looking to earn additional income, we would love to hear from you.

SCHEDULE

· 2–5 days per week

· Shifts are generally 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

· Shifts available 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays

· Some flexibility with scheduling

· No late nights but shifts may occasionally run later for special events

DUTIES INCLUDE

· Food preparation and cooking





· Working the line during dinner service

· Plating meals

· Following recipes and portion standards

· Cleaning and maintaining kitchen work areas

· Stocking and organizing supplies

· Dishwashing

· Assisting with other Back of House duties as needed

AVAILABILITY & TRANSPORTATION

Availability for a combination of weekday, weekend and public holiday shifts. However, we are happy to accommodate consistent, set days.

Reliable transportation is required. Applicants must be able to reliably get to and from scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
