Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes, including booking trucks, paperwork, tracking deliveries, and resolving issues while optimizing costs and maintaining quality. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Coordinating and scheduling shipments, selecting carriers, negotiating rates, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate shipment records.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and improve logistics efficiency.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to streamline operations.
- Communicating with internal teams, external partners, and customers to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, carriers, and customers.




- The candidate should be comfortable with tasks outside of the core responsibilities

Experience

- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills to interpret logistics data effectively.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including customs regulations if applicable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with specialized logistics software is advantageous.
