This is a contract position that will transition to an employed position if all goes well! The starting wage and hours will increase as the business grows and you do well. There will be raises and bonuses for continuous great work!

Muskoka Media Strategies is a new marketing agency specializing in implementing strategic video systems for other businesses. The business solves a very niche problem that other marketing agencies do not specialize in. You will work closely with me, the owner, and will be taught all that you need to know.

Job Summary

You will assist with a variety of marketing and operational tasks including:

- Sourcing new leads
- Initial outreach and follow-ups
- Website updates
- Content repurposing
- Basic bookkeeping (if capable)
- Research & strategy support
- General admin tasks

In the beginning, your primary focus will be lead sourcing and outreach. This role is mostly remote, with occasional in-person meetings at our office in Bracebridge.

Responsibilities

- Build lists of local businesses
- Send initial outreach messages + follow-ups
- Create and maintain a basic CRM dashboard
- Add content pages to the Muskoka Media Strategies website
- Repurpose client content for social media (Reels/posts)
- Track and report analytics
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks




- Support general admin and marketing operations
- Additional responsibilities as the business grows

Requirements

- You are teachable
- You enjoy mostly working remote
- You can work independently with clear instruction
- You are at least somewhat 'techy' and can handle learning new technical skills.
- You are not afraid to ask for help/clarity
- You are open to more hours down the road
- You have initiative
- You are honest, transparent, and authentic
- You live within Muskoka (or nearby) for occasional in-person meetings

Bonus if you have these skills (but not required)

- Any prior marketing experience whatsoever
- Video editing
- Bookkeeping
- Content creation
- Videography
