Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Landscape Construction Lead Hand/ Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape construction.

We work in and around Vancouver, and on the North Shore.

Duties

- Measure, mark, and layout work areas
- Excavate, grade, and prepare sites for construction
- Lay and set natural stone, flagstone, pavers, manufactured blocks, or bricks
- Build structural and decorative elements like retaining walls, garden walls, stone steps, and patios
- Construct outdoor kitchens, fire pits, custom masonry fireplaces, and pillars
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment
- Plant trees, shrubs, sod, and other vegetation according to design plans
- Safely operate skid steers, mini-excavators, compactors, and other landscape machinery
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Follow project schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols




- Work with supervisors or forepersons to ensure construction aligns with plans
- Solve in office problems and adapt to conditions
- Maintain a tidy and safe worksite
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC safety requirements
- Mentor or assist apprentices and junior crew members
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members
- Report issues, delays, or hazards promptly

Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
