Job Summary

As a Math & Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction to students, fostering a love for learning in mathematics and computer science. You will create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic growth. This paid position offers an exciting prospect to shape young minds and support their educational journey.

Duties

- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with curriculum standards in math and computer science, including programming, algorithms, and computational thinking
- Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs, including those in special education programs
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback
- Incorporate technology and computer skills into lessons to enhance learning experiences




- Maintain an organized classroom environment conducive to active learning and student engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices
- Support students’ social-emotional development and foster a respectful classroom community

Skills

- Experience working with children in educational or tutoring settings
- Strong knowledge of math concepts, teaching methodologies, and computer science principles
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate students
- Proficiency in Python and/or Java
- Prior classroom experience is preferred, especially with diverse learners or special education students
- Effective communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 – 20.0 per week
