Look Optometry is looking for a highly organized Medical Billing & Accounts Receivable Coordinator to help us keep our billing, insurance claims and outstanding accounts clean, accurate and up to date across our Newton and Guildford clinics.

This is an important role in our growing practice. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, following things through to completion and making sure money that is owed to the clinic is properly collected and reconciled.

What You'll Own

- Accounts receivable for both Look Optometry locations
- Reviewing and following up on outstanding patient and insurance balances
- MSP billing, rejected claims and resubmissions
- Reviewing MSP remittance statements and explanatory codes
- Following up on unpaid or partially paid claims
- Third-party insurance billing and reconciliation
- Identifying missing or incorrectly applied payments
- Working through A/R aging reports including 30-, 60- and 90+ day balances
- Communicating professionally with patients, insurers and MSP when required
- Reconciling payments between our practice management system, insurance portals and deposits
- Identifying recurring billing issues and helping us improve our systems
- Preparing clear A/R reports for our General Manager and bookkeeper

We'd Love to Meet You If You Have
- Experience with medical or healthcare billing
- Experience with MSP / Teleplan billing is strongly preferred




- Accounts receivable or reconciliation experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent follow-through and organization
- Confidence investigating discrepancies instead of simply passing them along
- Solid computer skills
- Professional communication skills

Experience with optometry, eVisionCare or optical insurance billing would be an asset, but is not required.

Schedule

Approximately 24–32 hours per week.

This position will begin primarily on-site in Surrey while you learn our systems and workflows. A hybrid schedule may be available once training is complete and the role is running smoothly.

Exceptional candidates with strong MSP/Teleplan and medical accounts receivable experience may be considered above this range.
