Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
Your responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while utilizing your organizational skills and medical knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent front desk service and guiding them through check-in procedures
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic scheduling using Accuro
- Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls to appropriate staff members and handling inquiries professionally
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs), ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and confidential
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance documentation to facilitate smooth administrative workflows
- Support clinical staff by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing supply inventory
- Handle administrative duties such as data entry, filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office correspondence
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar administrative role within healthcare settings
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy setting
- Proficiency in office technology including multi-line phone systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software
- Exceptional communication skills to interact confidently with patients, staff, and external providers

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
