Job Overview:

The MTBM Mechanic Assistant is responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, inspection, cleaning, and preparation of MTBM equipment, pumps, and related machinery. Working primarily in the yard, this role assists mechanics in ensuring equipment is maintained, organized, and ready for deployment to project sites. The successful candidate will be mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and capable of performing hands-on maintenance and repair tasks.

Key Duties

· Organize and maintain equipment, tools, and materials within the yard.

· Clean and maintain MTBM equipment, pumps, machinery, and related components.

· Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized.

· Perform routine equipment inspections and report deficiencies or repair requirements.

· Assist with preparing equipment, tools, and materials for delivery to job sites.

· Load, unload, and stage equipment for transportation.

· Verify equipment is complete, operational, and properly secured before shipment.

· Support inventory management and tracking of equipment and parts.

· Assist with the repair, maintenance, and rebuilding of pumps and pump components.

· Conduct inspections of separation equipment and related systems.





· Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues on various machines and equipment.

· Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed by senior mechanics.

· Replace worn or damaged parts using appropriate tools and equipment.

· Safely operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.

· Assist mechanics with equipment disassembly, assembly, and testing.

· Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

· Mechanically inclined with a strong interest in equipment maintenance and repair.

· Previous experience in a mechanical, maintenance, fabrication, or machine shop environment.

· Experience using a wide variety of hand and power tools.

· Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions and procedures.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors.

· Experience repairing and maintaining industrial pumps.

· Experience working with pump shafts, bearings, seals, and related components.

· Minor electrical troubleshooting or repair experience and asset.

· Experience inspecting and maintaining separation equipment.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in varying weather conditions.

Compensation:



$25-$35 per hour based on experience and perks
