Join the Regional District of Nanaimo as a full time Community Compliance Officer. Engage in field patrols and public outreach to support local community safety initiatives. This permanent role reports to the Manager of Bylaw Services and requires a proactive approach to bylaw enforcement.

Your experience will help address challenges faced by unsheltered individuals and those struggling with mental health issues. Be an advocate for compliance and education in our parks and community spaces. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular compliance patrols in community parks
- Educate the public on bylaws and compliance issues
- Perform inspections and documentation as required
- Assist Bylaw Enforcement Officers with various tasks
- Coordinate with partners for effective follow-up on inquiries Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is essential
- 2-3 years of experience in relevant fields
- Trauma-Informed Practice training required
- Must complete Bylaw Compliance course within six months
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and First Aid Level 1 Make a meaningful impact on your community through bylaw compliance and public education.
