Company Overview The Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation is dedicated to preventing and eradicating skin cancer through education, awareness, advocacy, and research. Our mission focuses on delivering impactful programs that reduce skin cancer incidence and promote sun safety across Canada.

.This is a hands-on position in a small, growing nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will help coordinate staff and volunteers in different regions of Canada, build relationships with schools and community organizations, support education and sunscreen distribution events, and identify new opportunities to expand CSCF's reach.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys people, organization, community engagement and making things happen. No two days will necessarily be the same.The Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director, who will provide direction, priorities and mentorship. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a rapid-paced, demanding and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and taking initiative.Key Responsibilities1.

National Sun Safety Program

Coordination

- Coordinate the delivery of CSCF's Sun Safety Education Program across Canada.
- Work with schools, teachers and volunteers to coordinate virtual classroom presentations.
- Support program scheduling, communications, resources and follow-up.
- Help ensure presentations are delivered consistently and meet CSCF program standards.
- Monitor bookings, presentations, volunteer participation and program activity.

2. Staff and Volunteer Coordination

- Coordinate with CSCF staff and volunteers working in different regions of Canada.
- Recruit new volunteers, particularly university and college students in health-related programs.
- Assist with volunteer onboarding, training and scheduling.
- Maintain regular communication with volunteers and help troubleshoot scheduling or delivery issues.
- Support regional volunteer teams and help ensure volunteers have the information and resources they need.




- Assist the Program Manager with ongoing volunteer engagement and recognition.

3. Program Growth and National Expansion

- Help identify new schools, school boards, community organizations and other partners across Canada.
- Research and develop opportunities to bring Sun Safety education to new communities.
- Support outreach campaigns to increase school bookings.
- Build relationships with organizations serving children, families and underserved communities.
- Help expand CSCF's presence beyond Alberta and strengthen our national reach.

4. Community Education and Sunscreen Distribution

- Assist with CSCF community education events in Edmonton and surrounding communities.
- Coordinate and participate in sunscreen distribution initiatives.
- Help organize sunscreen education and distribution activities with family-oriented nonprofits, community organizations, recreation facilities and other partners.
- Represent CSCF professionally at community events and promote the Foundation's programs and resources.
- Some evening and weekend event hours may occasionally be required.

5. Administration and Program Tracking

- Maintain accurate records of schools, volunteers, presentations, partners and program activities.
- Assist with spreadsheets, databases, scheduling systems and program reporting.
- Track program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with communications, newsletters, outreach and follow-up.
- Support grant reporting and documentation as required.
- Provide regular updates to the Executive Director

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
