About Dogpatch

Dogpatch is a neighbourhood pub in Riverdale, steps from the North Saskatchewan River. Burgers, pizza, weekend brunch, Alberta beer, and a patio where the dogs get as much attention as the guests. Open seven days, 11am to 10pm weekdays and 9am to 10pm weekends.

The job

You run the kitchen at night. Once the day team heads home, you are the senior cook in the building and the person the floor comes to.

- Lead the evening line and keep service moving.
- Cook. This is a working lead role, not a clipboard.
- Look after the cooks on shift. Set the pace, sort problems early, help people get better.
- Close the kitchen properly and leave it ready for the morning.
- Report to the Chef.

Schedule Full-time, 30 to 40 hours a week. Evenings and weekends. Shifts start mid-afternoon and run to close. The last cook is usually out between 9:30 and 10:30pm.

What we are looking for

- Line experience, and at least a little time leading a shift or a station.




- Comfortable running a small team on a busy Friday.
- Calm under volume. A dry sense of humour helps.
- Food safety training, or willing to complete it.
- Reliable. Evenings and weekends are the job.
