Hours & Compensation

This posting is for an existing, currently open role.

- Temporary Full Time | October 1, 2026 - December 23, 2026 | 7.5 hours per day | 7:30am-12:15pm & 2:45pm-5:30pm | Monday to Friday

- Location: Jean Steckle Childcare Centre, 130 Woodbine Ave, Kitchener

- Pay Rate: $27.53 per hour (based on current funding) + 2% in lieu of benefits

This is a unionized position and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement with Unifor Local302.

In this Role, you will contribute to the Community by ...

supporting children with their overall physical, mental, and social development. You will guide and supervise learning opportunities based on children’s interests and foster cooperative social behaviours through games and group projects to support developmentally appropriate relationships with other children and adults. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and team educators.

Please apply if you have ...

- Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the area of Early Childhood Education and development.

- Previous experience working with children

- Knowledge of and familiarity with the Child Care and Early Years Act and use of environmental assessment tools.

- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, parents, children, and the public.

- Current Vulnerable Sector Check document

- Standard First Aid and CPR Level-C certification
