The Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) is a world-class Nordic sport and recreation venue located in the beautiful Callaghan Valley. Originally built for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Park is home to cross-country skiing, ski jumping, biathlon and a variety of winter recreational activities.

We are currently hiring Nordic Ski Patrol team members to help provide a protected and enjoyable experience for guests, athletes and colleagues throughout the winter season. Patrol provides professional first aid response across our cross-country ski environment while monitoring trail conditions, supporting daily operations and promoting guest safety throughout the Park.

Job Overview

Position: Patrol (Nordic Ski Patrol)

Department: Whistler Olympic Park

Status: Temporary, Hourly – Casual, Part-Time or Full-Time

Schedule: Varied shifts including weekends and evenings

Location: Whistler Olympic Park, Callaghan Valley, BC

Salary: $24.50–$27.00/hour, depending on experience

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Staff Housing: Limited staff accommodation may be available for full-time employees

What You’ll Do

- Provide timely and professional first aid response to guests, athletes and colleagues.
- Monitor the Park and help maintain a safe environment for everyone using the trails and facilities.
- Assess risks and respond effectively to incidents and emergency situations.
- Monitor trail conditions and communicate relevant information to Guest Services and other operational teams.
- Maintain safety signage, fencing and snowshoe trails.




- Maintain accurate records of weather, incidents, accidents and responses.
- Participate in simulated emergency scenarios to maintain and strengthen first aid and CPR skills.
- Support training and work collaboratively with professional and volunteer patrollers.
- Assist with other operational duties around the Park as required.

What You Bring

- 1–3 years of experience as a professional patroller.
- Advanced First Aid Certificate (80 hours) or equivalent with WorkSafeBC endorsement.
- Strong first aid and emergency response skills with the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.
- A valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence and driver’s abstract.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience operating snowmobiles and knowledge of radio protocols are preferred.
- Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 or Operations Level 1 is preferred; rope experience or certification is an asset.
- Reliable winter transportation, as Whistler Olympic Park is not serviced by public transit.
- Ability to work outdoors in variable winter conditions, perform physically demanding tasks and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
