About Guided Spectrum

Guided Spectrum is a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy centre in Oakville offering ABA, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Neurofeedback, and related services. Our team works collaboratively to support children and families with individualized, evidence-based care.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide clinical oversight for our Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTAs) and OTA student placements on an independent contractor basis. This role is ideal for an experienced pediatric OT looking to add a flexible, consulting-style engagement to their existing practice.

Scope of Services

- Conduct pediatric OT assessments and develop treatment plans to be carried out by OTAs
- Provide clinical supervision to OTAs in accordance with COTO standards, including review of goals, progress, and documentation
- Hold consultation meetings with OTAs and/or parents to review progress and recommendations
- Oversee OTA student fieldwork placements, including supervision, feedback, and evaluations in coordination with academic programs
- Maintain assessment reports and clinical records in line with regulatory and privacy requirements

Engagement Details





- Approximately one on-site visit per week; the contractor sets the specific day and time in coordination with the centre
- Contractor uses independent clinical judgment in delivering services
- Services are invoiced to Guided Spectrum
- Contractor is free to maintain other clients and practice engagements

Qualifications

- Registered in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
- Pediatric experience required (neurodevelopmental, autism, sensory processing, and/or fine motor experience considered an asset)
- Experience supervising OTAs and/or clinical students preferred
- Professional liability insurance
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills with families and multidisciplinary teams

Compensation Rate is negotiable based on skill, experience, and industry standards.
