Kismet Learning Centre (KLC) is a multidisciplinary clinic supporting children with autism and other developmental needs. Our team includes Behaviour Consultants, Behaviour Interventionists, and Occupational Therapists working collaboratively to provide individualized, play-based, and family-centred care.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support the implementation of occupational therapy programs under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.

The OTA will work directly with children to support skill development in areas such as fine motor skills, self-regulation, sensory processing, and daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement therapy activities based on plans created by the Occupational Therapist
- Support children in developing fine motor, sensory regulation, and daily living skills
- Set up engaging activities and prepare therapy materials
- Collect simple data and track progress during sessions
- Use strategies to support focus, participation, and regulation
- Work collaboratively with clinical team
- Help children use skills across play, routines, and daily activities
- Provide brief updates to supervisors and caregivers
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive setting

Qualifications

- Diploma in a related field (e.g., Kinesiology, Psychology, Education)




- Experience working with children (experience with autism is an asset)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, patient, and engaging approach
- Criminal Record Check required

Hours:

- Tuesday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:30AM - 1:30PM

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
