Job Overview The Wellnest Family Clinic is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing multidisciplinary wellness team.

As an Occupational Therapist at The Wellnest, you will support patients in improving their ability to participate in the everyday activities that matter most to them. We welcome applications from OTs with a general practice background, as well as those with specialized experience in pediatric occupational therapy.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a warm, family-focused environment, collaborating alongside chiropractors, physiotherapists, naturopaths, acupuncturists, counsellors, lactation consultants, osteopathic practitioners, and other wellness professionals.

Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to understand each patient's functional abilities, challenges, and individual goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-informed practice
- Provide engaging, goal-oriented therapy to support independence and participation in everyday activities
- Work with children, teens, adults, and families depending on your area of practice
- For pediatric OT, assess and support areas such as fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, sensory processing, self-regulation, handwriting, developmental skills, play, school participation, and activities of daily living
- Support patients with strategies and adaptations to improve their ability to participate at home, school, work, and in the community
- Provide education and practical strategies to patients, parents, and caregivers to support progress outside of therapy sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, multidisciplinary care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation, assessments,



and treatment notes
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for patients and families
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-informed occupational therapy practices and professional standards

Requirements

- Registered and in good standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory body
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Professional liability insurance
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and treatment-planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-centred approach to care
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
- Solid organizational and documentation skills
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professional standards
- Experience working with pediatric populations is an asset
- Specialized training or experience in pediatric occupational therapy is highly valued
- Experience with sensory processing, developmental concerns, school-related challenges, or neurodevelopmental needs is an asset for pediatric OT applicants
