Rick’s Oilfield Hauling is seeking an experienced Oilfield Dispatcher to join our operations team. This is a key, full-time in-office role responsible for coordinating the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of oilfield fluids throughout Alberta.

The successful candidate will have direct oilfield fluid-hauling dispatch experience, strong knowledge of transportation requirements, and the ability to perform confidently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Position Details

- Location: Redwater area, Alberta — in-office
- Schedule: 5 days on / 5 days off
- Compensation: $65,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience
- Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule daily oilfield fluid-hauling operations.
- Dispatch drivers safely and efficiently while maintaining strong service to customers.
- Assign loads, routes, and equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Provide drivers with accurate load details, operational updates, directions, and support.
- Monitor road, weather, equipment, and customer conditions and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Maintain professional communication with drivers, customers, field personnel, and internal departments.
- Manage incoming calls through a multi-line phone system and provide exceptional customer service.
- Use dispatch and transportation-management software to coordinate work and maintain accurate records.
- Complete detailed data entry, dispatch documentation, and daily operational reporting.
- Support compliance with Hours of Service, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and company safety requirements.
- Work closely with operations, logistics, shipping, receiving, and field supervision.
- Prioritize multiple tasks, make sound decisions,



and meet deadlines in a changing environment.

Required Qualifications

- Previous oilfield industry experience is required.
- Direct experience dispatching or coordinating oilfield fluid-hauling operations is required.
- Previous dispatcher experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of Hours of Service regulations.
- Working knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods requirements.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, logistics, and transportation operations.
- Ability to work a 5-on / 5-off rotation.
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s Licence is considered an asset.
