Seasonal On-Call Snow Removal Labourer

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Snow Removal Labourers to join our winter snow-removal team. This is a seasonal, on-call position, with work scheduled based on snowfall and weather conditions. Successful candidates must be available to respond when snow-removal services are required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The successful candidates will be responsible for manually clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, stairs, and other designated areas.

Responsibilities

- Shovel and clear snow from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, stairs, and other designated areas.
- Remove ice and apply salt, sand, or other de-icing materials as required.
- Use snow shovels, snow blowers, ice chippers, and other hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure cleared areas are secure and accessible for pedestrians and customers.
- Work efficiently as part of a team during snow and ice events.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
- Report any hazards, damaged surfaces, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Complete other snow-removal duties as required.

Qualifications
- Previous snow removal or landscaping experience is an asset but not required.
- Physically capable of lifting, shoveling, pushing, and moving snow for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in cold, snowy,



and changing weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to respond to on-call shifts when required.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and snow-removal equipment.
- Landscaping, gardening, irrigation, construction, or general property-maintenance experience is considered an asset.

Position Requirements

- Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work flexible hours during snow and ice events.
- Appropriate winter clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor work.

Education

- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
