Job Summary

Job Title: Operations Associate – Meat Processing Department: Production / Operations

Reports To: Foreman/Operations Supervisor/Production Manager Position

Summary The Operations Associate supports the safe, efficient, and high-quality processing of meat products throughout the facility. This role is hands-on and may involve working in various areas of the plant, including harvesting (kill floor), cutting, trimming, packaging, sanitation, and general production support.

Associates are expected to follow food safety, health and safety, and quality standards at all times, work collaboratively with teammates, and be adaptable to changing production needs. Regular attendance is expected and essential to keeping our workplace running smoothly and safely. Respectful communication and behaviour is required at all times.

Key Responsibilities Production &

• Processing Perform assigned production tasks across various areas of the plant, which may include: o Operating machines including but not limited to saws and blades o Harvesting/kill floor support o Cutting, trimming, deboning, or portioning o Packaging, labeling, weighing, and boxing products o Material handling, product movement and warehousing Rotate between tasks or departments as required by production schedules Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards Food Safety &

- Quality Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures (e.g., HACCP, GMPs) Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift Identify and report quality concerns, contamination risks, or equipment issues Handle products according to temperature, hygiene, and traceability requirements Health &
- Safety Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times Safely operate tools, knives,



and equipment as trained Report hazards, injuries, or near misses promptly Teamwork &

Qualifications Ability to perform repetitive, physical tasks in a production environment Comfortable working in a meat-processing setting (including exposure to raw product, cold temperatures, noise, and strong odors) Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications (Asset) Previous experience in food manufacturing or meat processing Knife skills or willingness to be trained Understanding of food safety practices (HACCP, GMPs) Experience working in a fast-paced production environment Physical &

Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs with or without assistance Ability to work in cold or refrigerated environments Important Note on Role Flexibility This position requires flexibility. Duties may change or rotate based on production needs, seasonal demand, or operational requirements. Training will be provided for assigned tasks.

Operations

Associates may be trained and assigned to one or more functional areas over time, depending on operational needs and individual skills.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
