Responsibilities

- Assist customers in selecting eyewear that fits their style, needs, and prescription requirements
- Measure, fit, and adjust glasses to ensure optimal comfort and functionality
- Conduct basic eye exams and interpret prescriptions using electronic health records systems such as Epic
- Perform laboratory tasks including lens edging, mounting, and quality control to produce accurate, high-quality eyewear
- Educate clients on lens options, frame styles, and proper care to enhance their experience and satisfaction
- Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while promoting available products and services




- Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, prescriptions, and laboratory procedures in compliance with privacy standards

Experience

- Prior experience working as an Optician or in a related optical retail environment is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye health and vision care
- Laboratory experience with lens fabrication and fitting techniques is advantageous
- Proven success in retail sales or sales-driven roles with excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with optical software systems such as Epic or similar electronic health record platforms
- Knowledge of optical products, including frames, lenses, and coatings, to provide expert advice
- Experience in retail management or supervising team members is a plus
