About Your Compass Counselling

Your Compass Counselling is a small private practice in Vancouver, BC, offering virtual and in-person counselling to individuals, couples, and families. We support clients as they navigate the many seasons and transitions of life, creating a space where they can feel understood, supported, and empowered to find their way forward.

At Your Compass, we believe counselling is built on authentic human connection, collaboration, and respect for each client's autonomy. We strive to provide culturally responsive, inclusive, and compassionate care that recognizes each person's experiences, values, and needs.

We also believe these values should extend to the counsellors who work with us. We want to create a practice where clinicians have the flexibility to practice authentically, continue growing professionally, and have a voice in shaping the future of the practice.

We offer

- Flexible scheduling: Choose the days and hours that work best for you, with in-person availability subject to office space availability. We ask for a minimum availability of 5 hours per week, virtually, in person, or a combination of both.
- Virtual and in-person opportunities: In-person office space is available in Vancouver, alongside virtual counselling.
- Professional resources: Jane, Microsoft, Adobe, Canva, and office space are provided to support your clinical and professional work.
- Autonomy and balance: We believe counsellors should have the freedom to build a career that works for them. This part time role is designed to complement your existing practice, professional roles, and interests, while giving you autonomy over how you work with Your Compass.
- Opportunities to contribute to the growth of the practice: Contribute to blogs, social media, workshops, and other initiatives that align with your interests.




- Additional compensation for content creation: Counsellors who choose to contribute approved social media or website content can receive an increased fee split for this work.
- A collaborative environment: Your ideas and perspectives are valued as we continue to grow the practice.

Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is:

- Open-minded and curious about different perspectives and experiences.
- Patient and compassionate in their work with clients.
- Collaborative and values authentic therapeutic relationships.
- Excited to contribute to a small and growing practice.
- Comfortable working independently while being willing to communicate, share ideas, and contribute to the development of the practice.
- Interested in continuing to learn and grow as a clinician.

Required Qualifications Applicants must hold at least one of the following:

- Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC)
- Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)
- Registered Social Worker (RSW) through the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW)

Additional requirements include:
- Current professional liability insurance and a commitment to maintaining coverage throughout the engagement.
- A valid business licence appropriate for providing private practice counselling services.
- Commitment to maintaining professional registration and meeting applicable professional standards.
- Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centred practice
- New graduates are welcome to apply.

Your Compass Counselling is a small but growing practice, and we’re excited about what’s ahead. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow alongside us, bring their own ideas and strengths to the practice, and have a meaningful voice in shaping what Your Compass becomes.
