147 Elder Street is a retirement home providing high-end care for those with dementia and Alzheimer's. We recognize that every resident is unique and pride ourselves in creating customized plans of care, recreation schedules, and meals to suit each individual's wants and needs. From our team of RNs to our housekeeping team, every single person at 147 Elder Street contributes to the wellbeing of our residents.

As a member of our housekeeping team you would be essential in maintaining a clean environment and preventing the spread of disease. Training in infection prevention and control is provided to successful applicants.

A successful application should have the following qualities:

- Critical thinking skills.
- Understanding of general cleaning procedures.
- Ability to follow instruction without constant supervision.
- Ability to do extensive standing, walking, squatting, kneeling and moving of light objects.

:

1. Clean, dust and vacuum residents' bedrooms and public areas of the residence, i.e., lounges, corridors and elevators.
2.



Clean and sanitize residents' bathroom and all washrooms in the residence, including all fixtures, tiles, floors, vanity and mirrors.
3. Clean rooms vacated by residents and prepare rooms for incoming residents.
4. Collect refuse from residents' rooms and other areas of the residence and dispose of this refuse in accordance with set procedures.
5. Water and care for plants in the residence.
6. Clean and restock housekeeping cart.
7. Report malfunctions in equipment and repairs needed to Environmental Department through the Maintenance Memo Book.
8. Notify Nurse Manager when housecleaning suppliers are low.

Pay: $19.55 per hour
