Mini Steps Learning Studio is looking for an energetic, patient, and engaging Part-Time Math Teacher to join our team.

We work with children ages 3–8 in small-group classes. Our math classes are designed to be interactive and hands-on — we want children to understand, explore, and enjoy math, rather than simply complete worksheets.

Responsibilities

- Teach small-group math classes for children ages 3–8
- Create an energetic, positive, and highly interactive classroom environment
- Explain math concepts in simple, age-appropriate ways
- Use games, manipulatives, visuals, stories, and hands-on activities to support learning
- Encourage children to participate, think, communicate, and problem-solve
- Adjust teaching methods based on each child’s learning level and personality
- Maintain positive communication with parents and provide brief feedback when needed
- Prepare and organize classroom materials before and after lessons

- Is energetic, warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with children
- Has a lively and expressive teaching style
- Is comfortable leading interactive and activity-based lessons
- Knows how to keep young children engaged and focused
- Can turn abstract math concepts into fun, easy-to-understand activities
- Is responsible, punctual, organized, and reliable




- Works well in a small, collaborative teaching team

Qualifications
- Experience teaching or working with children is strongly preferred
- Background in Education, Early Childhood Education, Mathematics, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field is an asset
- Experience teaching elementary or early-years math is an asset
- Strong English communication skills
- Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset, but not required
