Position: Part-Time Weekend Caregiver; 6-month term (November to May)

Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, with variable early morning and evening hours

Client: Very fit/active 91-year-old woman

Position Summary

We are seeking a bright, reliable, energetic caregiver to provide part-time weekend support to an active 91-year-old woman.

The role is focused on helping her maintain her independence, stay active, and participate in her regular activities, appointments, and social events.

Responsibilities

- Assist with morning routines, dressing, and getting ready for the day
- Review daily calendar and help her prepare for appointments, outings, and social events
- Provide assistance before and after events and activities
- Provide evening support – undressing, preparing bath, etc.
- Offer companionship and social interaction
- Provide practical assistance while encouraging independence
- Help with light day-to-day tasks related to her activities and routines
- Ensure she is comfortable, prepared, and supported throughout the day
- Be attentive to her needs and communicate any concerns appropriately
- Occasional driving may be needed for appointments or outings
- Light housekeeping in her dedicated space

Requirements

- Experience in caregiving or senior support preferred
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean criminal record check required

- Comfortable with large dogs

Schedule

Weekend hours will vary depending on the client’s schedule and activities. Shifts include early morning and evening hours, with flexibility required.

This is a part-time weekend position, 6-month term, with the potential for additional hours based on availability and the client’s needs.

Oak Bay, Victoria, BC

Compensation

$40–$50 per hour, dependent on experience. Minimum of 12 hours per week guaranteed.
