Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our dental clinic. In this role, you will be the vital link between patients and dental providers, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and support throughout their treatment journey. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting and be proficient in electronic records and dental terminology, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently. Responsible for optimizing the appointment schedule by ensuring the day is full, with limited gaps.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes. Maintain accurate electronic dental records, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
- Manage patient calls and inquiries about appointments, confirmations, amendments and cancellations.
- Coordinate communication between patients and dental providers to facilitate effective care delivery.



Process referral letters and other patient correspondence in a timely manner.
- Ensure a welcoming environment for patients by maintaining a clean and organized office space.

Experience

- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical or dental office is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cleardent and MaxAssist is an asset but will train.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a patient-centered focus.

Hours

- Monday and Tuesday: 10am to 7:30pm, Wednesday and Thursday: 10am to 5:30pm. Minimum 35 hours per week.
