Based in Moorefield, Ontario, Spectrum Feed Services Ltd. is a proud Canadian company sourcing local, all natural ingredients to manufacture pet feeds supporting animal health and longevity.

Driven by our growth, we’re looking for a strategic manufacturing leader to oversee daily manufacturing operations while providing solid people leadership in a newly created position as People and Production Manager.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead daily production activities, support workforce development, drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster an environment where safety, quality, accountability and employee engagement are priorities.

- Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
- Oversee recruitment and selection of production team members
- Coach, mentor and develop supervisors, lead hands and production teams
- Support performance discussions, goal setting and development planning
- Resolve and oversee escalated employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution and corrective action processes
- Promote employee engagement, retention and career development opportunities
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, procedures and company policies, health and safety legislation and safe work practices
- Collaborate with Quality Department to champion quality standards and customer expectations

What You Bring

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production workplace




- Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience overseeing employees or production teams
- Related post secondary education is considered an asset
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management and workforce development initiatives
- Strong leadership and team building capabilities
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and production best practice
- Familiar with employment legislation and employee relations principles
- Excellent coaching, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to balance operational priorities with employee engagement and development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems
