About the Opportunity HealthOPM is currently seeking compassionate and dependable

Personal Support Workers (PSWs)

to join a friendly retirement home in the Goderich area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting seniors in maintaining their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and other activities of daily living.

Offer companionship and emotional support while promoting independence.

Assist with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping as required.

Observe and report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive well-being.

Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans.





Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality resident care.

Follow infection prevention and control, workplace health and safety, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized Ontario program.

Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last 12 months).

Current TB screening/clearance.

Current CPR/First Aid certification is considered an asset.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience in a retirement home or long-term care setting is an asset.
