Role Description The Pharmacist is a full-time or part time, in office role based in Mississauga, ON. Newly opened care clinic location with focus on services. In this position, the Pharmacist dispenses prescriptions accurately, provides medication counseling, and offers professional advice on drug therapies, side effects, and interactions.

The role includes reviewing patient profiles, assessing prescriptions for appropriateness, and supporting chronic disease management, immunizations, and other clinical services. The Pharmacist collaborates with pharmacy assistants and other store team members to ensure efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, and a high standard of patient care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining pharmacy records, monitoring inventory, upholding safety and privacy standards, and contributing to a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

- Professional pharmacy credentials, including a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), and active licensure in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.




- Strong clinical knowledge in therapeutics, pharmacology, and drug interactions, with the ability to assess prescriptions and provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Experience in patient counseling, medication reviews, and providing clear, empathetic communication to diverse patient populations.
- Skills in pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, inventory management, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems, documentation tools, and basic computer applications used in retail pharmacy settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail under time constraints.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and continuous learning; additional certifications such as injection training or specialized clinical programs are an asset.
