Job Summary

Duties

- Manage the overall operation of the pharmacy, including staffing, inventory control, and workflow optimization to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to cultivate a high-performing team.
- Ensure all medication dispensing aligns with medical prescriptions, safety protocols, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care initiatives, including medication therapy management and counseling.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration, patient interactions, and inventory logs in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee medication procurement, storage,



and disposal processes to uphold safety standards and minimize waste.
- Stay current with industry regulations, hospital policies, and advances in medical terminology to enhance pharmacy operations.

Skills

- Proven experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
- Knowledge of pediatric medication needs and specialized care considerations for diverse patient populations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory and documentation processes.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and educating patients about their medications.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare environments while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
