Key Responsibilities

- Utilize 3D equipment and piping modelling techniques and established design practices to develop assigned portions of the 3D CAD model under the guidance of experienced designers.

- Participate in formal and informal client model reviews, including documenting, tracking, and closing review comments within the assigned area of responsibility.

- Prepare bulk material quantity takeoffs and provide support for discipline-specific material estimates.

- Collaborate with designers across multiple disciplines to ensure effective coordination and integration of the overall design.

- Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment founded on openness, trust, effective communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and a strong commitment to quality.

- Communicate effectively with client representatives, technical specialists, interdisciplinary design team members, and supervisors to obtain required technical information.





- Ensure that all assigned work complies with approved design standards, procedures, and project requirements, maintaining a high standard of design quality.

- Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior, intermediate, and senior piping designers as required.

Qualifications

- Completion of a two-year college program in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, or a three- to four-year apprenticeship program in a related discipline.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Piping Designer within the Oil and Gas industry.

- Strong knowledge and practical experience in 3D equipment and piping modelling using CAD applications, specifically SmartPlant 3D (S3D).

- Ability to make routine day-to-day decisions, including basic planning activities, within clearly defined project requirements and established guidelines.
