Overview

We are seeking an APEGA registered Stress Engineer to join our engineering team.

We are seeking a Piping Stress Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming oil & gas and industrial projects in Alberta. The successful candidate will work closely with piping design, mechanical, and structural teams to deliver safe, code-compliant piping systems from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform piping stress analysis using CAESAR II and/or FE-Pipe/ Nozzle Pro
- Evaluate piping systems in accordance with ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, and CSA Z662
- Assess sustained, thermal, occasional, wind, seismic, and dynamic loads
- Develop pipe support and restraint strategies
- Support stress-related RFIs, field issues, and construction queries
- Prepare calculation packages and technical reports for IFC deliverables
- Coordinate with piping designers, mechanical engineers, and project stakeholders

Qualifications





- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Must be registered with APEGA
- Minimum 3-4years of piping stress analysis experience (intermediate to senior level preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian codes and Alberta industry practices
- Experience with oil & gas facilities, wellsites, or midstream infrastructure
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Preferred Assets

- Experience with brownfield modifications and revamp projects
- Familiarity with Alberta regulatory and client expectations

Work Arrangement

- Full-time or contract roles considered
- In Office in Calgary
