Plastic Designer

Position summary

Our client is looking for a Plastic Designer to support the development of accessory plastic parts for recreational vehicles.

The successful candidate will work on various design projects, creating and modifying CAD models, drawings, and tooling plans from the initial concept through to official product release.

Main responsibilities

- Support multiple design projects related to the development of accessory plastic parts.
- Create and develop CAD designs from the initial concept through to the official release.
- Design, create, and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings for plastic components.
- Develop tooling plans and ensure that designs meet project and manufacturing requirements.
- Define prototype requirements and prepare the related technical documentation.




- Collaborate with engineering and project teams while tracking several assignments and meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

- 2 to 5 years of experience in plastic part design, mechanical design, product development, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with CATIA V5.
- Experience creating and modifying 2D and 3D drawings for plastic parts and tooling.
- Solid organizational skills, autonomy, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Good team spirit and effective communication skills in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Advanced proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, with availability to work 3 days per week on site in Valcourt.

Experience with similar recreational vehicle products or with the client’s organization is considered an asset.
