Position Description

Are you an experienced plumbing and HVAC qualified looking to join a dynamic and supportive team?

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing & HVAC Service Technician with strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair abilities. This position is ideal for someone who is confident working on residential plumbing and HVAC systems and can manage service calls from diagnosis through completion with minimal supervision.

As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for identifying problems, recommending appropriate solutions, completing quality repairs, and providing an exceptional customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

This position will include, but is not limited to, the following:

- Visit customers' homes to assess, diagnose, and resolve plumbing and HVAC concerns accurately and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair residential plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and repair residential furnaces, air conditioning systems, hot water tanks, tankless water heaters, boilers, and related equipment.
- Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and repair options to customers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create positive, lasting customer experiences.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professionalism, honesty, and quality workmanship.
- Manage service calls, time,



and resources effectively throughout the workday.
- Prepare accurate and detailed invoices and collect customer payments when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and appropriately stocked service vehicle.
- Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Demonstrate dependability, reliability, professionalism, and punctuality.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

- Strong experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing residential plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Ability to work independently and complete service calls with minimal supervision.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly self-sufficient with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Professional and respectful when interacting with customers, coworkers, and other members of the JPS team.
- Dependable, accountable, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
- Physically capable of performing the requirements of residential plumbing and HVAC service work.




- Clean driver's abstract demonstrating responsible driving habits.
- Ability to provide a satisfactory police/background check.
- Minimum of three years of driving experience with a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to participate in ongoing training and continuous learning.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to perform work in residential mechanical rooms, basements, utility spaces, and other environments commonly encountered during plumbing and HVAC service work.
