Duties

- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install and repair piping systems.
- Cut, weld, assemble, and install pipework using MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, and other fabrication techniques.
- Use hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, calipers, and measuring devices to ensure precise fittings and alignments.
- Install HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, plumbing fixtures, and related mechanical components according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on piping systems to prevent leaks or failures; troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math calculations.
- Rigging pipes or equipment safely for installation or repair projects while adhering to safety standards.




- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including schematics updates, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.

Experience

- Proven experience in plumbing or pipefitting within manufacturing or construction environments is essential.
- Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, and welding techniques for various materials.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical systems layout.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems installation and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to operate hand tools efficiently and safely; experience with rigging equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to plumbing codes, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
- Prior experience working with schematics for complex piping layouts; manufacturing or construction experience preferred.
