Monthill Golf & Country Club is looking for a reliable, hands-on, organized, and highly motivated Porter to join our team.

The Porter is a key operational role within the building, responsible for helping ensure our weddings, golf tournaments, banquets, and day-to-day operations run smoothly. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, notices what needs to be done, and gets it done efficiently.

You will be an important part of the team that makes sure the property is clean, organized, maintained, set up, and ready for our guests and staff.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Event & Banquet Set-Up

- Set up and tear down weddings, golf tournaments, banquets, meetings, and other events
- Move tables, chairs, staging, bars, equipment, décor, and other event items
- Assist with room flips and last-minute event changes
- Ensure event spaces are set up according to floor plans and operational requirements
- Prepare outdoor spaces, patios, golf tournament areas, and other event locations
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and event equipment

Building Operations & Organization

- Keep storage areas, equipment rooms, service areas, and operational spaces organized
- Maintain an efficient and logical organization system throughout the property
- Monitor supplies and equipment and communicate when items need to be replaced or repaired
- Help identify ways to improve building efficiency and day-to-day operations
- Ensure equipment and supplies are returned to their proper locations after events
- Be proactive in identifying what needs to be done before being asked

General Maintenance & Property Support

- Complete basic building maintenance and repairs
- Assist with furniture, fixtures, equipment,



and general property upkeep
- Complete seasonal tasks and outdoor property maintenance
- Report larger maintenance concerns and safety issues to management
- Help keep the building, grounds, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces safe and presentable
- Assist other departments when operational support is required

QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous experience in a porter, maintenance, banquet, hospitality, golf course, warehouse, facilities, or similar hands-on role is an asset
- Basic maintenance and repair skills are an asset
- Ability to safely lift and move furniture and equipment
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced event environment
- Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
