[email protected] The Department Family Medicine invites applications for a part-time Postgraduate Faculty Lead, Academic Curriculum, commencing November 1, 2026 , or on a date mutually agreed upon. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Postgraduate Faculty Lead, Academic Curriculum will The Postgraduate Faculty Lead, Academic Curriculum is responsible for overseeing the development, coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Family Medicine postgraduate academic curriculum. This includes ensuring the two-year Academic Day curriculum meets accreditation standards, incorporates core postgraduate and Department of Family Medicine requirements, and supports stream-specific learning needs. The incumbent collaborates with education directors and faculty leads to identify curriculum gaps, ensure consistency and quality across training streams, integrate specialized curriculum areas, monitor learner feedback and evaluations, and support resident participation in academic programming.
The role also provides leadership in curriculum innovation, faculty development, and quality improvement initiatives, promoting effective teaching methods and active learning.
The Faculty
Lead works closely with interdisciplinary partners and educational leaders to develop new curricular content, establish shared educational resources, and support transition-to-practice programming. In addition, the position serves as a member of key program committees, including the Residency Program Committee and Curriculum Renewal Subcommittee, contributing to the ongoing advancement of postgraduate medical education within the Department of Family Medicine.
The successful candidate will have
- Certificate from the College of Family Physicians (CCFP)
- Holds a full license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
- Current faculty or eligible for appointment in the Department of Family Medicine
- Previous teaching experience in Department of Family Medicine education programs
